Connectivity Point Design & Installation (CPDI) has acquired DaneTech, Inc., based in Johnston, Rhode Island. For more than 20 years, DaneTech has offered sales, installation, and integration of IP camera systems, card access entry systems, intercom systems, paging and commercial sound systems, A/V systems, and installation of low-voltage cabling infrastructure.
The acquisition follows the 2019 purchases of Business Communications Systems, Inc. (BCS) in Leicester, Massachusetts, and Creative Computer Solutions (CCS) in Columbia, South Carolina, as well as the 2018 purchase of Computer Telephone, Inc. (CTI), in Warwick, Rhode Island. The acquisition will include retention of all DaneTech employees.
“Connectivity Point is focused on growing the business geographically and adding quality solutions, products, and team members. The acquisition of DaneTech allows us to expand our project footprint and respond quickly to service requests using our own team of licensed and experienced estimators, project managers, and highly-skilled technicians. We are excited to continue the high-quality work we currently provide to the east coast,” said Doug Watt, owner and president of CPDI.
The acquisition was a strategic part of CPDI’s growth plan along the east coast. “DaneTech has made a great name for themselves in providing quality products and services. Adding their crew to our team will make us much stronger as a company,” adds Watt. “Acquiring a security company like DaneTech allows us to deliver flexible solutions to our customers while providing our employees with a great place to work.”
Watt will remain President of Connectivity Point, which now has 187 employees and over 3,000 customers.
