Connectivity Point announced today it has acquired telecommunications contractor Business Communications Systems, Inc. (BCS), based in Leicester, Massachusetts.
Doug Watt, President of Connectivity Point said “Connectivity Point has been growing geographically through acquisition over the last two years with new offices in Rhode Island and South Carolina. The acquisition of the Leicester office will allow us to dispatch our highly skilled technicians from central and western Massachusetts to our projects throughout the region. Connectivity Point will now be able to respond more quickly to our growing customer base in the area.”
This acquisition follows the March 2018 purchase of Computer Telephone, Inc., in Warwick, Rhode Island and the January 2019 purchase of Creative Computer Solutions in Columbia, South Carolina. Connectivity Point now has offices in five states and operates regionally with its own highly skilled technicians and internationally through its network of qualified partners. Connectivity Point will retain BCS employees and is expected to add up to 20 new jobs in Maine and Massachusetts over the next 12 months.
“My goal has always been to have employees who are happy to come to work each day. Connectivity Point has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for seven straight years and we were awarded Best Places to Work in Rhode Island in our first year of eligibility as well. Those are the recognitions I’m most proud of,” added Watt.
Watt will remain President of Connectivity Point. Connectivity Point now has 190 employees and nearly 3,500 customers internationally.
