SOUTH CAROLINA
Overview
Through a relationship developed during a networking event, Connectivity Point was introduced to a professional services firm that was struggling with outdated audio/visual equipment in their conference room.
Challenge
The existing room consisted of multiple disconnected audio visual technologies that created a frustrating experience for both in-person and remote participants. Meetings often required assistance from IT staff to initiate, multiple button presses to launch collaboration sessions, and cumbersome processes to switch between platforms and presentations. As hybrid work became more common, the organization needed a solution that would allow remote employees to feel fully engaged and present in meetings while simplifying the experience for employees using the room onsite.
The customer wanted more than a technology refresh; they needed a user-friendly collaboration space that could support their business both today and into the future.
Solution
Connectivity Point worked closely with the client to evaluate their existing environment and understand their goals, budget, and collaboration requirements. A key factor in the project’s success was the consultative design process led by our AV engineering team. Through detailed discussions and system demonstrations, the client gained confidence in the proposed design and developed a clear understanding of how the new technology would improve their meeting experience without exceeding their budget. The existing collaboration equipment, displays, microphones, and connection points were removed and replaced with a fully integrated Zoom Rooms and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) collaboration solution.
The new system provides:
- One-touch meeting launch capabilities for Zoom meetings
- Seamless support for Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, and other collaboration platforms
- Wireless content sharing using ClickShare technology
- Automatic source switching between native Zoom meetings and laptop-based collaboration sessions
- High-quality video with intelligent camera framing technology
- Professional-grade audio with ceiling microphones, speakers, and acoustic echo cancellation
- Dual displays for enhanced presentation visibility and participant engagement
Most importantly, the room was designed with simplicity in mind, allowing users to enter the space, start a meeting, collaborate effectively, and leave without requiring technical assistance or extensive training.
