Overview
King Triton’s Palace is located on the sea floor more than 1000 fathoms below the surface. For years, the King, his family and constituents have relied on antiquated shell technology for communication and a dwindling security force made up of narwhals and stingrays. The palace, inherited from King Triton’s father, Poseidon, would need a complete communication and security overhaul to bring it into the modern age.
Design
Working closely with the Palace Facilities Director, the CPDI Design Engineers and Project Management Team assessed the current systems and with key stakeholder input, outlined a comprehensive design plan that would bring state-of-the-art technology to the underwater world while retaining the old sea aesthetics. This was such an important aspect to the plan that well-known architecture firm Fathoms and Reef were brought in to consult on the design.

Infrastructure
The Palace infrastructure required CPDI technicians to pull cable from the throne room to the royal bedrooms. Outfitted in OSHA-complaint underwater safety gear, the techs spent a full year installing the new technology foundation. They took special care to work around existing coral reefs, while creating new structures to encourage growth and sustainability.
Telephone, Paging & Security
With so many rooms, outbuildings and a new telephone and paging system was installed. Now, when any of his children go exploring, King Triton can page throughout the palace to try to track them down. And with the newly installed security system, utilizing numerous fish-eye cameras of course, if Ursula decides to venture our of her lair to cause more mischief, Palace Security will know immediately.
Audio Visual
With his daughter Ariel living above the surface, it was important for the King to have the best remote sea-suite boardroom possible. He wanted her to feel like to she was back on the ocean floor, talking with him and Sebastian.
Results
In the months since this multi-year underwater project was completed, the entire Palace has quickly adapted to the modern technology and says they wish they had done it sooner. King Triton has thanked Connectivity Point for overseeing such a whale of a project, and based on his referrals, we find ourselves swimming in quotes. Aquaman, you’re next!
